About me

Hey, my name's Angela. I really like photography because it can be extremely powerful in the most subtle ways sometimes. My favorite type of photos are the ones with extremely simple subjects; not much to them, but somehow they manage to get some sort of message across that conveys emotion and tells its own story all in one little image. Photos can create illusions, as well. They can express shape, value, the illusion of movement, and color. For example, a photograph that seems to be taken as movement was going on and is sort of blurry creates the illusion of time stopped in that moment there and then. Colors can contribute to the mood or emotion the photo expresses as well. Dark colors like blacks and grays translate dark emotions, such as loneliness or fear. Bright colors like yellow and pink can express happier emotions such as joy and excitement. Deeper and warmer colors such as red or purple can make one feel passion or love. I like to think that everything is picture perfect. It just takes the right eye to see the beauty in the object and transform it into something powerful. That's my take on photography. Everyone has their own.
